No. Prices on the website are in pounds and are quoted excluding VAT, delivery and offloading, which is why they are shown as, for example, from £4,290 + VAT. The GRP and insulated panel cabin pages also list each size with VAT added at the standard rate. Delivery and offloading depend on your postcode and on the equipment needed to lift the unit off, such as a HIAB, crane or forklift, so they are priced in your formal quote.

It depends on the material and the size. Insulated panel cabins run from £2,290 + VAT for 1.10m × 1.10m to £4,890 + VAT for 2.60m × 2.60m. GRP cabins run from £3,890 + VAT for 1.50m × 1.50m to £6,390 + VAT for 2.70m × 2.70m. Clad MetroCity cabins start from £5,595 + VAT and KompoCity composite cabins from £6,890 + VAT. Bulletproof cabins start from £39,900 + VAT. On GRP and insulated panel cabins, electrics and heaters are priced as options, and MetroCity cabins have their electrics, lighting and sockets fitted at the factory. Delivery and offloading are priced separately for every unit.

The open-plan portable cabin costs from £4,290 + VAT for 2.30m × 6.00m up to £5,790 + VAT for 3.00m × 7.00m, and the twin room cabin and the office with private office are priced the same. Layouts with a kitchenette start from £5,765 + VAT, the twin office with central WC from £5,965 + VAT, and layouts with a WC and kitchenette, or a WC and sink, from £7,440 + VAT. Layouts with a shower room and the living unit are priced on application, so ask us for a quote.

Pick a unit and a size, then work through the options in the configurator, such as electrics, heating, a kitchen or a WC on a container unit. The estimate updates with each choice and is shown ex VAT, so you can compare set-ups before you speak to anyone. When it looks right, add the unit to your quote list and send the request. The estimate covers the unit and its options only, not delivery or offloading.

All 16 container layouts are made in the same four footprints: 2.30m × 6.00m (20ft × 8ft), 3.00m × 5.00m (16ft × 10ft), 3.00m × 6.00m (20ft × 10ft) and 3.00m × 7.00m (23ft × 10ft). The renders and floor plans show the largest, so on a smaller footprint expect the same rooms scaled down to fit. Every layout uses the same standard openings: an 880mm × 1960mm steel entrance door and 890mm × 1135mm double-glazed PVC windows.

Insulated panel cabins are steel-framed sandwich panel cabins and the most economical in the range. They include our smallest security hut, 1.10m × 1.10m (4ft × 4ft) and 100kg, with room for one person on duty. GRP cabins have a moulded glass reinforced polyester shell that does not rust and is light for its size, from 280kg at 1.50m × 1.50m. MetroCity cabins are clad in Betopan outside and lined with sandwich panel inside, and KompoCity cabins have an aluminium composite skin over an insulated sandwich panel shell. Yes. Layouts with a WC but no shower are the site office with WC and kitchenette, the twin office with central WC, the twin room cabin with WC and sink, and the site welfare unit with WC and kitchenette. Layouts with a shower room are the site office with shower room, the twin office with central shower room, the welfare unit with shower room and kitchenette, and the office with shower room and kitchenette; every shower room also has a toilet and wash basin. For a kitchenette without a toilet, choose the office with kitchenette lobby or the twin office with central kitchenette. The living unit has a bedroom, shower room and kitchen sink.

Yes. The Bulletproof Security Cabin comes in eight sizes from 1.50m × 1.50m to 3.00m × 5.00m, priced from £39,900 + VAT to £84,900 + VAT and weighing 3,000kg to 10,500kg. The smallest sizes are single-officer posts, while the largest give two or more people room to work at once. It has armour steel panels, bullet-resistant laminated glass and steel-framed doors with high-security locking. Cabins are built to different ballistic classes, so the class is agreed for your project and needs to be set out when you order.

Yes. Pick the layout closest to what you need and tell us what should be different, such as where a door, window or fitting goes. Nothing goes into production until the final layout is agreed on a drawing that shows each of them. Fronts can change too: one container office on our projects page has full-height glazed double doors in place of the standard front, which suits a garden or sales office.

In the configurator you can add electrics, heating or air conditioning to any container layout, as well as a kitchen or a WC. The open-plan cabin also lets you choose the door position: a centre door between two windows (K1002), a door at one end of the long side (K1001), or a door in the end wall (K1003), which leaves the long side free for windows on a garden office or studio.

Every size can have a standard electrical pack, a blue male socket for £75 + VAT and an electric wall heater. The electrical pack costs from £475 + VAT on GRP cabins and from £375 + VAT on insulated panel cabins, and the heater from £225 + VAT on both. Air conditioning costs £2,950 + VAT and is available on the two largest sizes of each range. Customised electrics are priced on application.

Yes, on several ranges. KompoCity cabins can have colour and cladding details matched to your organisation, with logos applied to the panels, and MetroCity cabins have colour and finish options. GRP kiosks can be finished in a brand colour: the FlixBus kiosk was supplied in the company green, with graphics applied before delivery and a top-hinged serving hatch over the counter window. If the unit will serve customers, say where the counter and serving window should go when you ask for a price, so they are shown on the drawing.

Your unit arrives as a finished building and is lifted into place by HIAB, crane or forklift, depending on its weight and where it has to be set down. A 280kg GRP cabin and a bulletproof cabin of 3,000kg or more need very different equipment, so tell us what lies between the road and the spot where the unit will stand, such as narrow gates, overhead cables, soft ground or a long reach. Offloading is priced separately from the unit.

A firm, level surface that will not settle under the unit, such as concrete pads, a concrete slab or compacted hardstanding. The right choice depends on the unit's weight and your ground, so describe your ground when you ask for a price and we will advise on the base in your quote. On our projects, units have stood on poured concrete plinths and block footings, and one site office sits on a raised kerb clear of surface water. The unit itself needs no construction on site. Container units arrive lined, floored and glazed, and GRP cabins come off the production floor as one moulded shell with the windows, door and fittings already in. MetroCity cabins have their electrics, lighting and sockets fitted at the factory, and bulletproof cabins can have lighting, ventilation, air conditioning and power built in before dispatch. What you do need to arrange is the connection: a qualified electrician for the power supply, and a plumber or drainage contractor for water and waste on any unit with a WC, kitchenette or shower.

Yes. Insulated panel, MetroCity, KompoCity and bulletproof cabins can be lifted again by forklift or crane and set down in a new position, and MetroCity and KompoCity cabins can also be taken to another site. GRP cabins are light for their size, which makes them straightforward to relocate when a site plan changes. Bulletproof cabins weigh 3,000kg to 10,500kg, so moving one needs lifting equipment rated for that weight.

It depends on where the unit goes, what it is for and how long it stays. In England, a cabin needed only while building work is carried out on that land or next to it is often permitted development for the length of the work, as long as the work itself has any permission it needs, and it must be removed when the work ends. For a permanent unit, such as a gatehouse at a business entrance, ask whether permission is needed. Garden buildings at a house have separate limits. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland set their own rules. Check with your local planning authority; we can supply drawings for an application.

In England, a garden building at a house (not a flat or maisonette) can go up without an application only within limits on size, position and use. For example, it must be single storey with eaves no higher than 2.5m, no more than 2.5m high overall within 2m of the boundary, and not in front of the house. Any garden building at a listed building needs planning permission, and stricter limits apply on designated land such as conservation areas and National Parks. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own rules, so check with your local planning authority before you order.

As a garden office, yes: the open-plan cabin, the office with private office and the site office with WC and kitchenette all suit garden use. An annexe is different. In England, permitted development rights for garden buildings cover only uses incidental to enjoying the house, not separate self-contained accommodation or primary living accommodation such as a bedroom, bathroom or kitchen, so an annexe like the living unit falls outside them. In England and Wales, the Building Regulations exemption for small detached buildings does not cover one with sleeping accommodation, so speak to building control as well as planning. First we check your choice against the site: the drawing, the delivery route and the offload equipment needed. You then get a formal quote with the delivered price to your postcode. If you go ahead and place an order, production starts once the final drawing is confirmed. The unit is built in Karmod's factory in Türkiye, where panels, frames and GRP shells are made and assembled, and shipped to you as a finished building.
