Product information

Betopan outside, sandwich panel inside

The MetroCity Modular Cabin is built from two materials working to different ends. The exterior is clad in Betopan, and that cladding is what the cabin shows to the street. It holds its appearance outdoors — sunlight, rain, humidity and wind leave it without fading, cracking or peeling — and it takes knocks, so there is little to maintain across the years a cabin spends standing on site.

The interior is lined with sandwich panel, which does the quieter work. It insulates against both heat and sound, keeping the inside cool in summer and warm in winter, and it damps the noise of a busy entrance or a service yard. That matters when somebody is sitting in the cabin for a full shift.

Glazing that keeps the approach in view

The cabins are generously glazed. Staff can watch the entrance and the traffic in front of them without the shut-in feeling of a small closed structure, and the light coming in makes the interior a more comfortable place to spend a working day.

Delivered ready to connect

There is no assembly. A forklift or crane sets the cabin down where it is wanted, and no groundwork or additional infrastructure is needed to receive it. The electrics, lighting and sockets are fitted at the factory, so the cabin goes into service shortly after it arrives rather than waiting on trades.

The same is true in reverse. When a project finishes, the cabin can be lifted out and moved to the next one, which makes it as workable for a temporary posting as for a permanent gatehouse.

Five sizes, from a single pitch to a small office

The range runs from 1.40m × 1.40m up to 2.65m × 2.65m. The smallest size drops into a confined spot where floor area is short, while still giving one person room to work. From the next size up there is space for a desk, a chair and a small cabinet, which puts it closer to a compact office than a booth. The larger models hold more than one member of staff along with control panels, filing or air conditioning.

Across the range the same cabin serves as a security point, an information or consultation desk, a visitor reception, a ticket office or a temporary office, depending on what the site needs.
