XL Meeting Pod
The Karmod XL Meeting Pod is an acoustic meeting pod for one to four people, for one-to-ones, interviews and small meetings in open-plan offices, co-working spaces and universities. It measures 1.26 m × 2.20 m and 2.20 m high (4 ft 2 in × 7 ft 3 in × 7 ft 3 in) and costs £9,250 + VAT, or £11,100 inc VAT.
It is as wide as the Office Work Pod but 0.60 m longer. The renders show a charcoal exterior, orange acoustic interior panels and a full-height glazed front and door.

Delivered assembled: check your access route
The XL pod is delivered fully assembled, in one piece, wrapped in bubble wrap and stretch film, so every opening on the route must clear at least 1.26 m in width and 2.20 m in height. A standard UK internal door leaf, about 0.76–0.84 m × 1.98 m, falls short of both.
With a length of 2.20 m, corners matter as much as doors. Measure:
- each door opening, fully open, at its narrowest and lowest point;
- corridor widths at every corner, to see whether the pod can make the turn;
- lifts, stairs and the ceiling height where the pod will stand.
Send the figures and photos of the route to us before you order.
What does NRC 0.95 mean?
NRC 0.95 is the supplier's figure for the pod's interior acoustic panels. The noise reduction coefficient (0 to 1) describes how much sound a surface absorbs rather than reflects, so with up to four people talking, the panels absorb most of the sound reaching them and keep echo down. It does not describe sound passing through the walls or glazing; we quote no decibel reduction or speech privacy rating.
Can the XL Meeting Pod be used outdoors?
No. The XL Meeting Pod is suitable for indoor use only. For an outdoor meeting space, see our container garden offices and garden rooms and garden offices.
Which pod should you choose?
Choose the XL pod when two to four people meet, or for interviews and one-to-ones. Compare our other office pods:
- Office Phone Booth (1 person, 1.05 m × 1.05 m, £4,450 + VAT): private calls.
- Office Work Pod (1 person, 1.26 m × 1.60 m, £7,450 + VAT): focused one-person work.
- XXL Meeting Pod (1–7 people, 2.50 m × 2.20 m, £14,950 + VAT): nearly twice as wide, for up to seven.
Our office pods buyer's guide compares all four.
FAQs
How many people fit in the XL Meeting Pod?
One to four; for five to seven, choose the XXL Meeting Pod.
