Delivered assembled: check your access route

The XXL pod arrives fully assembled, in one piece, wrapped in bubble wrap and stretch film. Its narrower side and its height are both 2.20 m, so every opening on the route must be at least 2.20 m × 2.20 m, far larger than a standard UK internal door leaf (about 0.76–0.84 m × 1.98 m).

Plan the route around a loading door, goods entrance or similar opening, and measure:

  • each opening, fully open, at its narrowest and lowest point;
  • corridors and turns, allowing for the 2.50 m side;
  • lifts, stairs and the ceiling height where the pod will stand.

Send us the measurements and route photos before you order.

What does NRC 0.95 mean?

NRC 0.95 is the supplier's figure for the pod's interior acoustic panels. NRC (noise reduction coefficient, 0 to 1) describes how much sound a surface absorbs rather than reflects; at 0.95 the panels absorb most of the sound reaching them, keeping echo down when a full table is talking. It does not measure sound passing through the walls or glazing; we quote no decibel reduction or speech privacy rating.

Can the XXL Meeting Pod be used outdoors?

No. The XXL Meeting Pod is suitable for indoor use only. For a separate building outdoors, see our container garden offices and garden rooms and garden offices.

Which pod should you choose?

Choose the XXL pod when five to seven people meet regularly or a team holds online meetings. For smaller groups:

  • XL Meeting Pod (1–4 people, 1.26 m × 2.20 m, £9,250 + VAT): about half the width, for small meetings and interviews.
  • Office Work Pod (1 person, 1.26 m × 1.60 m, £7,450 + VAT): focused one-person work.
  • Office Phone Booth (1 person, 1.05 m × 1.05 m, £4,450 + VAT): private calls.

Our office pods buyer's guide compares all four.

FAQs

How much does a seven-person meeting pod cost?

£14,950 + VAT (£17,940 inc VAT), including LED lighting and a power socket / USB charging point. Furniture, delivery and offloading are quoted separately.

What size of opening does the XXL pod need?

At least 2.20 m × 2.20 m at every point on the route. Single and double doors of standard 1.98 m height are too low, so most buildings need a loading door or similar access.

Do I need permission to install a meeting pod?

In a rented office, ask your landlord or building manager before ordering. A freestanding indoor pod is not a building extension, but add it to your workplace fire risk assessment: can alarms be heard inside, and do escape routes stay clear?
